Ungheni Raion Hospital in the Republic of Moldova was founded in 1940; nowadays it has a capacity of 370 beds and offers medical specialized assistance in terapeutical, infectious, pediatric, obstetrical, traumatological and narcological areas. This hospital has an operating theatre with several surgical rooms and also laboratories for paraclinical services like medical imaging, biochemistry investigations and functional diagnostics.

During the summer of 2017, the Emergency Ward of IMSP SR Ungheni has been modernised with highly qualitative equipment through SWISS Cooperation Moldova funds.
