The Clinical Emergency County Hospital in Timisoara has started its activity in 1974 with 13 clinical specialties and 1030 beds, serving the population in the western part of Romania.
During the '80s, the first kidney transplants in our country took place in this hospital, urologic endoscopy was introduced and digestive endoscopy was developed, the cardiac stimulators implants continued; then, in the '90s, computer tomography was introduced and ultrasound diagnostics was intensively developed, as well as endoscopic surgery; during the first decade after 2000, the infrastructure has grown with a Clinic for Orthopedics and "Casa Austria" Traumatology Center.
One of the latest enterprises that aim to significantly enhance the quality of services in this hospital is the rehabilitation of the entire system for supplying oxygen and medical compressed air.
EYECON MEDICAL has implemented this project in a very short timespan, one month, within the main building of the hospital (floors 3 to 9 and basement) and also at Bega Maternity. The wards that have been rehabilitated were: Surgery, Nephrology, General Medicine, Cardiology, Vascular Surgery, Neurology, Gastroenterology, ENT, Gynecology, Neonatology, Pediatrics and the Operating Theater, where our specialists installed the following:
- over 2800 meters of medical copper pipes;
- more than 90 outlets for oxygen;
- more than 90 outlets for compressed air;
- 9 alarm panels for medical gases;
- over 80 ball valves.
