The XVIth National Conference of Neonatology was held during September 5-7, 2013 in Murighiol, Tulcea, the subject being Neonatal Respiratory Pathology. The conference was organized by the Romanian Association in Neonatology, "Carol Davila" University Bucharest and the College of Physicians from Bucharest and Tulcea.

This conference was held in a very special place - the Danube Delta - a place that, like the neonatologists, protects life in its diversity and nurtures a large variety of species. So, the venue and the theme of this event facilitated a fruitful exchange of experience and scientific approaches of modern challenging issues regarding the new-born.
