A new project of high impact was completed in March 2018 by EYECON MEDICAL at "Doctor Victor Gomoiu" Children's Hospital in Bucharest, by expanding, modernizing and equipping the sterilization department of this unit.
Clinical Children's Hospital "Dr. Victor Gomoiu" is one of the oldest children's hospitals in Romania, and one of the most important in Bucharest. The activity of this hospital started in 1927, so far providing services in the fields of allergology, gastroenterology, pediatric neurology, otorhinolaryngology, pediatric kinetotherapy, pediatrics, infantile neuropsychiatry, medical imaging. The hospital also provides academic and research education in the medical field, being affiliated with "Carol Davila" University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest.
The new building of "Dr. Victor Gomoiu" Hospital has six floors and was built in the yard of the current sanitary unit that has been operating in the same space for 100 years, since its founding. The new building body is equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment on its entire area of nearly 20,000 sqm. Compared to the old structure, the number of surgery rooms has almost doubled, as did the number of beds and the number of specialized staff. In addition, all sections are to be the basis of pediatric and postgraduate pediatrics. "Dr. Victor Gomoiu" Hospital currently has one of the most modern departments of cardiovascular surgery, interventional cardiology and pediatric cardiology in Romania.
This is the context in which EYECON MEDICAL has fully implemented the project within the hospital's sterilization department, by compartmenting the space, installing and setting into operation all the equipment needed for the complete instrument circuit, from the "dirty" (unprocessed) stage to the "clean" (decontaminated) stage:
- Steam Sterilizers;
- Washing and disinfecting machines for instruments;
- Ultrasonic cleaners;
- Continuous sealer machine for sterilization bags;
- Reception and distribution tables;
- Tables for instrument control and packaging;
- Shelving for storage of materials;
- Worktops with sink;
- Transport trolleys for sterile materials;
- Transport trolleys for non-sterilized materials;
- Water and air spray guns.
