CARITAS Association in Bacau was founded in 1996, with the first project developed in this city, the Mini-retirement Home, where 13 elderly people are housed and are provided with social and spiritual assistance, accommodation, meals and medical assistance.
For over 20 years, through the Caritas Association in Bacau, many poor, sick and old people have benefited from humanitarian aid in the spirit of Christian charity and human solidarity. Besides the mini-retirement home, the association and its volunteers also carry out other activities such as home care, emergency help, penitentiary assistance, social, spiritual, and also balneary treatment.
At the end of 2017, THE PROTECTED HOUSE FOR THE ELDERLY was extended and modernized, now also having a household annex. In December 2017, EYECON MEDICAL provided within this project the necessary medical furniture and equipment:
